Terulian Agriner's apartment: The Crown's Jewel Empty
PostSubject: Terulian Agriner's apartment: The Crown's Jewel   Terulian Agriner's apartment: The Crown's Jewel EmptySun Jun 16, 2013 4:01 am

Seeing as how this would be his first time at a boarding school, and thus his first time not living over an hour from his school, Tare thought finding an apartment with roommates would be a good idea.  He's in a decent sized 6 room apartment alongside a pair of twin Meisters.  He thought that having roommates would be a good way to get some friends, but seeing as how he's rooming with a pair of 16 year old and far more experienced twins, he's more like background even in his own apartment, just like the furniture.

As you enter the apartment, you see a decent sized living area, about 9 feet by 8 feet.  There are a door and an opening on the left, a door and an opening on the right, and 3 doors straight ahead.  The doors are closer to the entrance of the apartment on both sides.  The doors leads to the twins' rooms.  Tare has never gone in there, and doesn't try to look in when the doors are open (almost never).  The opening on the right leads to a small kitchenette (sink, tiny oven, two burner electric stove, white fridge with the freezer on top, and barely enough floor space for two people to stand side by side with their bellies sucked in).  The opening on the left is a small dining room, with a circular (and very battered) teak table the twins bought once upon a time, and four mismatched folding chairs, lit by a two-bulb overhead lamp.

The main room has three couches arranged in a triangle in the middle of the room (one 3 cushion couch, two love seats) facing inward, without enough room to walk between them, but plenty of space to stick one leg between and lever yourself into a seat from any side.  There is a circular folding table in the middle, and there's a crude holder made of duct tape on the side facing the 3-cushion couch that's got a deck of playing cards in it.  There's a big bulb in the ceiling that runs off a dimmer, and a TV on a stand against the wall between the dining room entrance and a twin's room door.  The walls are pretty much plain white drywall, and all the rooms but the kitchen have that short, brown carpet that won't change color no matter what you spill on it (except, you know, bleach, dyes, and paint).

The doors on the left and right side of the far wall are Tare's bathroom (with a shower, it's got 2 doors, one to his room and one to the main room) and the pantry, respectively.

Tare's room is called the Crown's Jewel because it's straight ahead, and in the center.  Yeah, you have to go around the couches to get to it, but there's at least a foot and a half on either side of the couch, you'll be fine!  (that's verbatim what the twins told him).  His actual room is about 6'x6', fairly small as things go, and his blue-sheeted bed takes up literally a third of the available floorspace.  He's nailed a few shelves above his bed that he places things like completed assignments on.  He's got a pair of two-shelf fake-wood bookcases sideways against the far wall.  In the right one he keeps his school books, while the left one contains things like his mp3 player and cords, the shock protector he plugs everything in to, his big of assorted writing implements, notebooks, and other stuff.  Kind of like a Skyrim shelf, with a bunch of useful crap just stacked on it.  On top of the bookcases are some of those clear plastic bins you can stack on top of each other full of his clothes.  He's got a desk (really more of a table, as it has no drawers) with a small, metal framed chair with the back and butt cushions against the wall next to the bathroom, and a pair of posters on the walls- a Real Musgrave mouse wizard, and a Beatles Yellow Submarine poster.  He's got a super small 10-inch netbook too, but it's almost always closed and off, as he's usually studying, or trying (and often failing) to make friends.

Since he pretty much never stands up for himself, the twins tend to bring THEIR friends over whether he wants them to or not, but he doesn't even know what he'd say to ask the twins if he brought anyone over.

And neither of the twins is compatible with him, either.
