After Class Basketball

After watching Noir be carried off frantically by Natsu, Dakota turned her focus back to her meister. Hearing that Stein had basically dismissed class she thought for a while and asked what Wendy had wanted to do out of a few things that she listed. Basketball.

"Alright, then lets go!" Dakota said in a cheerful voice, linking her arm in Wendy's and going off at a happy pace. Letting the other call out an invite to anyone wanting to join them later on.

Reaching the courtyard, she looked around and saw that it was just them. Taking a basketball she started to dribble it on the court getting a feel for the ball. That had been an intense battle, though the mishaps for the other students that got in the way of Noir was a bit funny and a tad worrisome in her mind. Shaking her head, she did hope that her team mate would get better at her aim and put an end to the accidental injuries.

"So, what did you think of that medkit? Kind of funny huh?" Dakota said with a slight chuckle at herself. She still could not get over that by some unfortunate accident she had actually set someone on fire, and yet still managed to help them, making them completely okay. Well, aside to some outfit damage and being a tad charred after being put out.

Tossing the ball to Wendy, having them pass back and forth for a little bit, she then took to the goal and took a shot at the basket to get it to go in. The ball rolled on the hoop a few times before falling in. "Your turn," Dakota called out, turning and passing to the other.

"So, what did you think of that medkit? Kind of funny huh?"

Wendy laughs, "That was freaking hilarious! How on earth did you do that? You weren't even using magic, not that you have fire magic to begin with...but whatever, that was great!" she says, catching the ball and passing it back with little difficulty.

"WOO!!" Wendy shouts when Dakota make the basket, throwing both her fists into the air.

Wendy grins when the ball is passed back to her. She dribbles a few times, moving a little further back from where Dakota took her shot from. Wendy gauges the shot, pretty confident that she could make it from here and catches the ball on its upward bounce, raising it up as she bends her knees, aligning herself with the basket. Taking a breath, she jumps, shooting the ball forward while making sure to keep her wrist straight. The ball sails through the air, colliding with the backboard of the goal, the momentum of the throw causing the ball to swing around the rim of the basket quite a few times, almost flinging itself out of the goal completely before slowing and finally falling through, hitting the ground and bouncing away.

"WOO!" Wendy shouts, throwing both fists into the air before jogging after the ball. Slowing down as she nears the bench the basketball had rolled under, she drops to her knees and fished the ball out, standing back up and facing her partner.

"We gonna play a game-game? Or do you just want to try to out-do each other?" Wendy asks, smiling and dribbling the ball between her hands. She walks slowly back towards her partner and when she's only a few feet away she grabs the ball with both hands and looks questioningly at Dakota, waiting for an answer.

"How on earth did you do that?....but whatever, that was great!"

Hearing that response Dakota smiled wider, and rubbed her hand on the back of her head some at how it seemed to be pretty amusing to Wendy. That made her feel better about the mishap earlier.

Watching Wendy's form as she dribbles Dakota waits for her to make the shot. Finding that the motions were smoothly done. Eyes following the ball's path as it left her friend's hands and soared through the air, taking in a breath as she saw it almost fall out of the rim before finally falling into it. "Awesome!" Dakota called out, pumping a fist into the air at the goal that was made.

"We gonna play a game-game? Or do you just want to try to out-do each other?"

Once the ball was back into the girl's hands and they were facing each other she thought on te question some. Tilting her head side to side rubbing her chin. "We could play HORSE," she suggested to the other. It was a bit of both game-game and out doing each other. Which would be interesting.

After the suggestion she stretched her arms over her head and loosened up as she smiled at her partner. Then knelt down to redo her shoe laces as well, since they had felt a little loose to her.
